About Efezino
Efezino Majiri Akpo, known professionally as Efezino, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer whose voice bridges the earthly and the celestial. Her sound blends Afropop, Folk, and Soul, rooted in African heritage yet carrying a cosmic, timeless quality that draws listeners into her world. Through themes of love, resilience, and self-discovery, she creates music that heals, uplifts, and resonates across cultures.
Born in Delta State, Nigeria, Efezino discovered her gift at age eight in her church choir. By 17, she had already won the “Who Sings Best” competition and later captivated audiences on Nigerian Idol and The Voice Nigeria, where her presence and aura left a lasting impression.
Her debut single “Amere” introduced her to global audiences, making waves in New Zealand, Australia, and across Oceania, far beyond the shores of Nigeria. Since then, she has released a folk album, two EPs, and multiple singles, including “Toxic,” which explores the complexities of love with raw honesty and soul.
Efezino’s artistry extends beyond her own catalog. She has worked as a demo singer for icons like Rihanna, Brandy, and Asa, while also lending her ethereal voice to Simi, Adekunle Gold, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy), Zoro, and Falz. Her vocals have also become the sound of major brands, including Maggi, Nescafé, Golden Morn, DStv, and Delta Soap.
More than just an artist, Efezino embodies an astral presence—grounded in her roots yet reaching for the stars. Each performance is an intimate journey, each song a portal into a world where music is both healing and transformative. With her unique voice and energy, she continues to shine as one of Africa’s most captivating voices, carrying the soul of her heritage into the future.
